Join the Northport Running Club and Maggie's Mission for the second annual Maggie’s Mile - a fast and fun USATF certified New Year’s Day down hill race. Benefiting Maggie’s Mission and featuring Father Time! Guaranteed PR for the year!

Starts at the Sunken Meadow Golf Course Clubhouse in Sunken Meadow State Park (pass toll booths and turn left on Naples Ave. after the bridge, drive up to parking area).

Packet pickup and pre-registration will be available at the Super Runners Shop in Huntington village on Saturday, December 29th from 12:00 - 4:00 pm. Packet pickup and registration for the day of the event starts at 8:00 am and closes at 9:45 am. Cost is $25 through December 1st, $30 through December 31st, $35 day of registration.

Post race awards ceremony, raffles, refreshments & food. Official “Maggie Gear” to first 250 registrants. Indoor restroom facilities are provided to runners at the Sunken Meadow Golf Clubhouse where the race starts.

First free New Year beer to registrants 21 and over at Napper Tandy’s in Northport after the race, please provide race bib.

Maggie Schmidt was a healthy and happy teenager attending Harborfields High School in Greenlawn, Long Island. Everything changed when she was diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive cancer in October 2016. Unfortunately, doctors could not save her and she died on June 1, 2017. Maggie's wish was to find a cure.

Pediatric cancer research is severely underfunded. Proceeds from this event will go to Maggie's Mission. Maggie's Mission is focused on raising awareness of pediatric cancers, funding research and providing help to families and children affected - visit maggiesmission.org to learn more.
